Ramblings are the opening letter that originally appeared on the mailing of the class listing. The are exactly what they are called... my ramblings. They are a glimpse into my very heart and soul. What makes me tick. I am not perfect... but who is? I am someone like you... A Quilter.
How they came about was twofold:
First... how could I impart my thoughts/felings/beliefs of quilting or even life in general in the most concise way?
Second... Whenever I would receive a newsletter in the mail from anyone, invariable they always sounded the same... "Hello Quilters, just a quick note to let you all know how things are here and, boy have we ever been busy!" Now I don't know about you, but those get a bit boring after a while, and it tells me nothing about the person or people behind the works. I for one think that is very important! Nor do those style of letters make me feel like I can connect with them. Worse yet, are some that, after reading, even I am left feeling belittled or unimportant to their business! I would like to know that those behind the newsletter have the same passion for this unique art that I do.
To that end, Please read on. This is me, Diana Tavis.
